My fifty-five word poem

English August attempted a fifty-five word poem and I wanted to have a go at it. This is my first attempt.

my love

she looks at me
does not make a move
I return her stare
she stretches
her languid body
sinuous and graceful
I smile at her
will her to come to me
she does not move
I give in
pick her up
rub my cheek
against her
she curls up
like ermine
around my neck –
amour
